Phillip Dundas

Bachelor of Science (Applied Chemistry) and Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) 2006.

Phil graduated from Curtin University in 2006 with a BSc (Applied Chemistry) and BEng (Chemical Engineering), and in 2012 graduated from Murdoch University with Graduate Diploma of Extractive Metallurgy. Phil was elected to Curtin’s Guild Council in 2005 and served as Council Chair in 2006.

Throughout Phil's career he has worked in many areas of the chemical engineering space including research, design, consulting and operations. He has held a variety of roles, including traffic controller, field operator and conservation worker, all throughout the up and downs of the commodity cycles.

Phil is currently employed as Principal Metallurgist within Iluka Resources' Technical Development department here in Perth, and works to develop and commercialise new technology processes and products. He also currently volunteers his time with the Curtin’s NEXT STEP: Industry Mentoring program and CSIRO's Scientists in Schools program.
