Ruby Chiu Hoss – Chair of Executive Committee

Ruby Chiu Hoss serves as managing director of AirPlus Industrial Group which has diversified business activities. Prior to her current appointment, she was an executive director for the regional quarter of a leading Swiss conglomerate before its privatisation. She reported to parent company Zellweger Zurich in Switzerland, managerially administered it's office in Hong Kong, performed internal auditing function for it's Taiwan office and engaged in joint-venture set up and infrastructural project financing for it's Shanghai office.

She is a certified management consultant at the local institute (IMCHK) of The International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMI) since 2006. She holds a Master Degree in Business (MBus) in e-Commerce and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). She is working on her doctorate degree at an internationally recognised university.

She is honorary treasurer of IMCHK, taught a postgraduate diploma course for IMCHK and Hong Kong Productivity Council and is a speaker for continuous professional development seminars at local institutes.


Dr William Chen – Deputy Chair of Executive Committee

Dr. Chen has 20 years financial management experience with local and global high-growth companies in food & beverage chain stores, manufacturing and distribution for FMCG and apparel retailing sectors with operations in the Greater China & Asia Pacific region. He is currently a CFO for Hui Lau Shan Group, a dessert chain with over 200 stores in Hong Kong, PRC and Malaysia. Prior to this position, he provided financial leadership to top-level operating and management executives in KFC (HK), Lee Kum Kee, San Miguel and Chanel.

Dr. Chen earned his doctorate degree in Business Administration from Curtin University, Australia. He is a Fellow Certified Public Accountant in Hong Kong, a Certified Practising Accountant and Certified Management Accountant in Australia, a Chartered Management Accountant in UK and a Certified Tax Adviser in Hong Kong.

Dr. Chen has served as Specialist and Financial Expert for Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications and has also taught CMA Professional Program of The Institute of Certified Management Accountants.


Joerex Tsang - Secretary of Executive Committee

Joerex earned a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Marketing and Advertising) from Curtin University in 2005 and has solid marketing experience. Currently, he is an assistant marketing manager in a global investment management firm, where he is responsible for managing the development and implementation of marketing strategy to increase brand and product awareness in Hong Kong and Mainland China. He has experience across a wide range of marketing activities such as advertising, event management and e-marketing. Prior to this, Joerex worked in marketing for a leading local financial institution and in an advertising agency. Joerex has strong expertise in every aspect of marketing.

In 2012, he earned an MBA (with Merit) from The University of Bradford, UK. Joerex is very active in extracurricular activities and he chairs the Curtin Alumni Management Committee (HK Chapter) and is also the champion of Bradford Alumni (HK Group).


Damian Babis

Damian Babis – Committee Member of Executive Committee

Damian is a Consultant of Pacific Elite Holdings Ltd, which is a business and human resources consulting firm in HK. He is a chartered accountant and also holds a Postgraduate Diploma and Bachelor Degree in Business (Accounting) from Curtin University.


Allen Lim

Dr Allen Lim – Committee Member of Executive Committee

Allen is currently a Project Director with a major local horticultural and arboricultural company. He is a dynamic business and operational professional with almost three decades of experience across Production, Constuction, Design, Logistic, Lawn Care and viticulture industries. Allen is currently responsible for the development and execution of advocacy in horticulture & arboriculture training and revenue campaigns across multiple direct vehicles - high end technology application within the industry etc.

Allen's degree is in Horticulture, with a series and business concentration, and specialising in post-harvest.


Stuart Sanders

Stuart Sanders – Committee Member of Executive Committee

Stuart was awarded a degree in chemical engineering and had an early career in the petrochemical industry.

Stuart has been in Hong Kong since 1993 and has over 18 years of experience in delivering IT services and cyber-security consulting to business in Hong Kong. For over 10 of those years Stuart ran his own company, Velocity Solutions, successfully delivering IT solutions and strategies to fund and other businesses in Hong Kong, including a Hang Seng main board listed firm. Stuart now consults to businesses, particularly funds and other finance organisations, on IT and cyber-security issues under both the Hong Kong and Singapore regulatory authorities. In 2015, Stuar co-authored an Amazon Best Selling Book on cyber-security called Under Attack.

Stuart is passionate about advising firms and individuals on the constantly changing landscape, and threats that we face in an ever more connected world.


Philco Wong

Dr Philco Wong – Committee Member of Executive Committee

Dr Wong is a chartered civil engineer who has over 35 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects in Hong Kong, the Mainland of China and overseas. He is currently the Projects Director of MTR Corporation responsible for the delivery of new railway projects from design to completion.

Dr Wong holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba, Canada and a Master of Engineering degree in Construction Management and Engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada. He was awarded a Doctor of Business Administration degree by Curtin University, Australia.

Dr Wong is enthusiastic in participating in community and professional services. He is a fellow member of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Institution of Civil Engineers in the UK. He is the chairman of the Benevolent Fund Committee of The Lighthouse Club. He is also currently the Vice President of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and a council member of Construction Industry Council. In addition, Dr Wong is a chair professor in the school of Civil Engineering of Tsinghua University in Beijing and an adjunct professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Hong Kong Polytechnic University.


Joe Wu

Joe Wu – President of Management Committee

Joe holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Donghua University in Shanghai, a Master of Engineering Science from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Postgraduate Diploma in Investment Management from the University of Hong Kong SPACE and a Master of Finance from CBS, Curtin University. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Building, UK.

Joe has described himself as an engineer with commercial sense. He is currently working as a planning engineer with Leighton Asia, India and Offshore Group based in Hong Kong. He has been engaged in a number of vital mega projects in the Hong Kong and Macau region such as Wynn Encore, Express Railway Link, Hong Kong - Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in the fields of planning, controlling and project management. In his spare time, Joe is fond of soccer, as a super fan, an enthusiastic game watcher and a dedicated player.


Catherine Chan – Co-Vice President of Management Committee

Catherine Chan is a Human Resources (HR), Industrial Relation and Worker's Compensation professional with experience in mining, construction, heavy manufacturing, travel and event industries from Australia and Greater China (Mainland China, HKSAR, Macau SAR and Taiwan). She holds a Degree in Management and Human Resources Management from Curtin University of Western Australia. She currently serves as the Recruitment and HR Manager of Flight Centre Travel Group (Flight Centre, FCm Travel Solutions and cievents) in the Greater China Region.

She enjoyed her time at Curtin, where she was actively involved in the Curtin social community. She particiapted in the Curtin Volunteer Group, Mentoring Program and Industry Research Group. She was also the first international student to be awarded the Curtin Study Abroad Sponsorship to study in Europe.

Catherine aims to be a fair and inspirational HR practitioner. She has extensive experience in talent acquisition, management, development, training, retrenchment, ISO auditing, policies, procedures, process management and alignment on business goals to strategic planning and implementation. One of her career highlights is her successful negotiation with Union by acting as the Company representative. Her publication of Enterprise Agreement passed ballot and received approval from Government Commissioner.

As a strong believer in pursuing an all-rounded life, Catherine enjoys hiking, treasure hunting, dancing, making new friends, extending her network, charity runs and improvisation performance. Being positive, having a can-do attitude and radiating happiness to others is both her life and career goal.


Nathan Ling – Secretary of Executive Committee $ Co-Vice President of Management Committee

Nathan has been working in the retail industry since 2000. His specialised areas are retail store operation and retail training across sporting goods, consumer electronics and leather goods.

He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Hong Kong and a Master in International Business from Curtin University. He also holds professional qualifications in Training & Development and Employee Coaching & Counselling from Hong Kong Management Association and Hong Kong Institute of Human Resources Management respectively.

Nathan represented Hong Kong to win the Best Training Implementation Award in 2007, as a finalist for Sustained Excellence in Training Implementation in 2009 within regional Asia Pacific for Adidas and as a winner for ECCO as the Junior Frontline Footwear Category from Service and Courtesy Award 2014 from the Hong Kong Retail Management Association.

In addition to his retail profession, he is extending his specialty to include organisation development as well as corporate social responsibility. Nathan also actively acts as a business volunteer in the Secondary School Program of Junior Achievement Hong Kong for communication and personal finance.


Ronald Tao

Ronald Tao – Member of Management Committee

Ronald holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Commerce in Information Systems and Electronic Commerce from Curtin University, graduating in 2004. He has 15 years of experience in software development, design and project management across Australia and the Greater China region. Currently, he is working for one of the largest construction and engineering company in the region, with a focus on managing the delivery of key ECM initiatives.


Don Wong

Don Wong - Member of Management Committee

Don is an angel investor, private equity investor and startup enthisiast. He is very keen on encouraging local Hong Kong young generation to start up companies.

Don is currently the Managing Director of LD Consulting which provides business consultancy, corporate finance and M&A advisory. Don previously worked in equity fund, major bank and venture capital in HK and heavily involved in early stage investments. He has been a judge/advisor for several major local venture programs including StartmeupHK by InvestHK and Pan-Asia Venture Development Platform.

Don obtained his Master of Finance from Curtin University, MBA from The University of Iowa, Master of Science from CUHK and Bachelor of Engineering from HKU.


Andrew Ma

Andrew Ma - Member of Management Committee

Andrew Ma is experienced in corporate advisory and financial planning, where he covered in Merger and Acquisitions, Enterprise Risk Management, Wealth and Portfolio Management, Tax Planning and Accountancy. He also has more than 15 years of tax experience advising clients in various industries and sectors.

He currently is a committee member of members and students services committee of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong. Andrew also is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERCM professional, Certified Management Accountant in Australia and Certified Tax Adviser in Hong Kong.

Andrew is currently the director of business advisory firm and property agency firm in Hong Kong.

Andrew graduated with Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) in Financial Services from Edinburgh Napier University, UK and a Master of Finance from Curtin Unviersity.


Lewis Kwok King yi

Lewis Kwok King Yi - Member of Management Committee

Lewis Kwok is a Manager, Wealth Management & Protection and MPF Consultant in AIA International Limited. He provides financial planning and insurance services to individual and corporate client.

Lewis was awarded International Quality Award (IQA) from Limra in 2014 and 2015. Also he attained professional qualification Associate Financial Planner (AFP) in Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong, and Registered Financial Associate (RFA) in International Association of Registered Financial Consultants.

Lewis earned a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Marketing and Logistics) from Curtin University of Technology in 2007.


Theresa Yip – Member of Management Committee

Theresa graduated from Curtin University of Technology with the Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing and Advertising). She completed a Master of Insurance and Risk Management in 2013 and qualified with the Fellowship of Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).

She is currently working with an international insurance broker firm and provides professional services on liability insurances for large corporate clients. During her leisure time, Theresa keeps a series of regular sports like Thai boxing, yoga and running.


Coby Leung

Coby Leung – Member of Management Committee

Coby Leung graduated from Curtin University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting. While at Curtin she was an active member of AIESEC, John Curtin Leadership Academy (JCLA) and Curtin Volunteers. She is a now an accounts assistant at a financial institution in Hong Kong. In her spare time she is a keen gardener and enjoys cooking and knitting.


Paul Tsang

Paul Tsang – Committee Member (Partnership Management) of Management Committee

Paul is the deputy head of the finance department in the Hong Kong branch of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. He has more than ten years of professional accounting experience. In the past 20 years, he has been working for different banks, including French bank, Japanese banks and PRC banks. He is specialised in the financial control and banking returns, IFRS and taxation.

He completed a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University in 1998 with a major in Accounting and is a graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong MBA program. Paul is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs and CPA (Australia).

He continues to actively participate in alumni activities and the association. Paul is the Treasurer of St Paul's College Alumni Association, mentor in the Mentorship program of St Paul's College and Vice President and Treasurer of King's College Old Boy's Association Primary School Alumni Association. He is also the Founder of Bonham Road Government Primary School PTA Limited. He is also an unauthorised supervisor, accountant ambassador of HKICPA and mentor of CPA (Australia) since 2006.


Annabel Choi

Annabel works in the Sales & Marketing team of a multi-international group. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Management from Curtin University. Her hobbies include making friends, travelling, photography and yoga.


Alvin Tin

Alvin Tin – Member of Management Committee

Alvin has actively participated in Curtin alumni activities for several years. He holds a Masters Degree in Finance from Curtin University and is a Senior Associate Member of the Financial Services Institure of Australasia and a Certified Finance and Treasury Professional.

Alvin's career has focused on contributing to the generation of business and networking within the Asia-Pacific region by facilitation the sharing of business knowledge and strategy. He has extensive regional management experience in both the finance and technology industries and working with a global financial services group. He is also a young business leader and natural entrepreneur with a focus on the internet and technology sector.
