Volunteering with Food Rescue at UnitingCare West

The Curtin Graduate School of Business (CGSB) Alumni Chapter has the pleasure of inviting you to attend a day of Volunteering with Food Rescue hosted by UnitingCare West on Sunday 24 September.

Food Rescue is UnitingCare West’s program servicing disadvantaged people in Western Australia. The service aims to alleviate hunger by rescuing perishable, fresh and nutritious food from cafés, caterers, supermarkets and wholesalers and delivering it to those in need in the community. Food Rescue is the missing link between the thousands of tons of fresh, nutritious food thrown into landfill each year by the food industry and the thousands of hungry and disadvantaged people in need across WA. Join us for a morning of volunteering, preparing and sorting food to be distributed to a network of agencies servicing those most in need.

The maximum number of Volunteers working in the warehouse is limited to 15 attendees, however, families and children of volunteers are welcome to attend. A BBQ lunch will be provided. Alumni who are unable to attend are welcome to make a donation to the cause.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to volunteer alongside your fellow Curtin alumni to help this very worthy organisation.
