Alumni Innovator Series: From brainwave to business - how three Curtin graduates turned their ideas into enterprises

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the Alumni Innovator Series: From brainwave business - how three Curtin graduates turned their ideas in to enterprises on Wednesday 9 May 2018 at our Bentley Campus.

Have you ever wondered what it really takes to start your own business? We are excited to have four Curtin graduates share their own experiences of doing just that.

The panel will be moderated by alumnus Gordon Owili, author of "Disruption: Game Changing Start-ups", a book packed with inspiring stories of how some of the world's most successful tech disrupters built their businesses.

Gordon will be joined by three panellists, all alumni innovators:

  • Marc Berryman, creator of Rhinohide, a body armour for four-wheel-drive vehicles, and survivor of Shark Tank
  • Haweya Ismail, entrepreneur and founder of DIY skincare brand Mud & Musk
  • Melissa Strutt, founder of Roobix, a Pterh-based Business Consultancy, Marketing and Software Development company

Following individual presentations, our panel will respond to questions from the audience.

We hope you will be able to join us to network with other Curtin graduates and to hear more about the exhilarating, and often daunting, journey to starting a business.
